Lansdowne Primary School Health & Social Care Visit
On Monday 2 students from Health and Social Care went on a trip to Lansdowne Primary School.
Each of them had their allocated classrooms and after lunch they were able to swap over which gave them both experience working with the two different years. One of the student’s took part firstly in the year 2′s P.E lesson and really enjoyed it as she was able to work 1 on 1 with a year 2. She also did tasks using her own initiative, for example, help a year 2 tie their shoe laces and how to do up their buttons. The other worked with the year 6′s and year 2′s all day helping them how to read words out using the syllables and how to spell.
They both enjoyed the trip highly and learnt a lot themselves, as well as teaching.
Gateway Connect would like to say thank you to the primary school for letting 2 of our students go there on a trip. This has helped them tremendously with their units they need to complete.
