Gateway Connect

Jamie Kensey is a year 10 student at Gateway Connect and takes part in long jump, high jump and javelin for Thurrock Harriers. He started taking part in this whilst he was at school. He was inspired by people who were in the Olympics and it is a personal interest of his. His goals for this year are to jump 6.60 meters and appear on TV by taking part in English Schools next year.

He currently has 6 medals from taking part in long jump, these consist of 1 gold medal from Blackshots, 4 silver medals from Cambridge, Eastern Athletic Association, Lee Valley & Thurrock Harries and 2 bronze medals from Cambridge & Essex Schools. Photograph of his medals is below.
