Student Profile

We acknowledge that children learn in different ways and at different rates. We try to cater for this in our curriculum and in the design of our day-to-day learning activities.

Places are offered to young people, who are interested in a more practical approach to learning and knowing. In many cases they may have displayed a range of challenging behaviour and have become disaffected with conventional learning at school.

Such young people may be deemed ‘at risk’, have special needs, physical or mental health problems or have not been served well by any other educational system.

We believe that although the provision will at the start cater for a particularly disaffected audience, over time it will develop into a service and option for anybody who has a strong interest in a vocational career irrespective of their behavioural and or psychosocial profile.
